Handwoven silk/stainless steel and Japanese paper/silk sculpture. The Japanese shibori technique is adapted to weave pattern threads into the cloth, which are then gathered once off the loom. This process, together with a yarn that has ‘memory’, forms and retains the highly textured surface. (12 x 25cm)
